Neighborhood Business Assistance Program
To provide direct support to small business owners and entrepreneurs, the Neighborhood Business Assistance Program offers free consultations, resources, and referrals. Services include guidance on loans and grants, technical support, navigation through the city’s permitting process, and assistance with various business challenges. Recognizing the vital role of immigrant-owned businesses in the local economy, the City of Oakland has launched the Immigrant Micro-Business Support Program. In partnership with The Unity Council and Feed the Hunger Fund, this initiative offers technical assistance workshops and one-on-one support in multiple languages, including Spanish, Mam, and Vietnamese.
