Twitter: Police pause sign replacement after arriving at San Francisco headquarters

Workers who were removing Twitter’s sign at its San Francisco headquarters suspended work after police arrived on the scene.

The logo changed after Twitter owner Elon Musk renamed the social media company X.

San Francisco police told news site Insider that officers at headquarters are responding to “potentially unauthorized street closures.”

Local media also reported that the building’s owners were allegedly not informed of the removal of the sign.

Workers managed to remove most of the letters before pausing, leaving the e and r in place.
